I’m offering more LINE DANCING lessons by popular demand!

Aiming for at least 1 pop-up per month during winter, locations TBD on a monthly basis. December we will be:

Where: Afterthoughts (Route 100 @ Route 17, above Valley Meade)

When: Friday, December 13th from 6:30 to 9 PM

Admission: Pay what you wish at the door (no registration this time!) Venmo, credit card or cash

With an amazing turnout in November I’m able to return to the ‘pay what you wish’ model for admission (Thanks MRV!)

What to expect:

• Dancing:

  • 6:30 to 8PM: reviewing/teaching several line dances at multiple entry levels

    • see tutorial videos below to review “Muddy Muddy,” “Wagon Wheel,” and my original line dance to MUNA’s “Anything But Me” (title still TBD, demo below!)

  • 8 to 9 PM: open dancing!

    • I’ll quickly review, then call dances from the lesson and previous pop-ups; folks can join in as they wish. I’ll also take requests for dances we haven’t covered, I just may not be able to call them

• Venue:

  • Afterthoughts has a full bar that will be OPEN! I’ll build in some beverage breaks during the lesson

  • Food options will be available for purchase from Peace Burger

  • Parking

    • along guard rail in main parking lot shared with Valley Meade

    • across Route 17 behind the Chamber of Commerce (next to Cousins Brewery—be careful crossing the road!)

    • a few spots up top along Route 100 in front of the Valley Meade sign

SNEAK PREVIEW! Here’s a new original we will be learning this week to Lake Street Dive’s “Dance With A Stranger”

This is a tutorial for the first dance we learned in October, called “Muddy Muddy” or “Muddy Spider,” and also “Itsy Bitsy Spider Dance.” The song they use is different than the one I did, but the steps are the same!

We danced “Muddy Spider” to “There’s Your Trouble” by the Chicks
